5 Social Media Tips For Your 2020 Strategy
Entrepreneurs and bloggers are well aware that effective social media use is often critical to success. Best practices are evolving all of the time, which is why it’s important to keep up with the latest trends and adapt your strategy as you go. The year 2020 is going to be an exciting one for social media marketing.
As a business owner myself, I know that spare time is incredibly hard to come by. We all wear a million hats in one day as it is and if managing social media is included, I invite you to sit under the learning tree! I have put together a round-up of five pointers to help you stay current and reach your full social potential in 2020.
Let’s go!
Set Yourself Goals
First things first, if you want to craft an epic social media strategy, you’ve got to define your goals. Perhaps one of your goals might be to increase your brand awareness? You might like to track the progress of this goal by setting a number of followers you want to reach? Instead, you might want to drive more traffic to your website and improve the bounce rate of your social traffic? No matter what your goals may be, it’s important to have clear objectives to aim for.
The Right Management Platform
To manage your social media accounts, it’s essential to choose the right social media management platform. There are several options to choose from, including Hootsuite, Buffer or Sprout Social. All of these three offer scheduling options, analytics, and a way to manage all of your social accounts from one place.
Hootsuite lets you connect with third-party apps such as Evernote or Mailchimp, while Sprout Social includes some nifty social CRM features. Buffer makes life a whole lot easier; as the app chooses when it’s most appropriate to post your content (so that you don’t have to decide).
Influencer Power
If you haven’t tried Influencers as part of your marketing strategy yet, let 2020 be the year that you change that. Influencers already have the respect and trust of your target audience; you just need to get them on board with your campaign and tap into that potential. An increasing amount of consumers use ad blocking software when they are using the Internet, which makes it harder for brands to achieve visibility. Using influencers for your social marketing gives you a way to reach out to your target audience through more visible brand mentions.
Visual Content Is Key
Visual content is shared more often than any other kind, which is why videos should be part of your social strategy. Create some engaging video marketing, and an animated explainer video then share these on your socials.
Share other video content you love to forge a deeper connection with your audience. Host webinars to connect with your consumers in real-time and present the personality of your brand.
P.s. Images are also a powerful tool to include in your social media arsenal. *Cough, I’m about to sell my wares, cough!* Check out my graphic design portfolio to see how I can help 🙂
Social Listening
It can be useful to make use of a social media listening tool to support your social marketing plan. Brand 24, for example, lets you monitor those who post comments about your company and products. You can get the latest on what’s trending in your industry, and then use this information to your advantage. The application also provides analytics so that you can achieve valuable insights to inform your next move.
