Pinterest & My Pipe Dream of an Artist’s Studio *AD

If you frequent my blog on a regular basis, then you will know that I’m in a serious and long-term relationship … with Pinterest.  Granted, maybe Pinterest isn’t aware of this, but hey, what are you going to do?  Swiftly moving on.  You might have seen on Twitter that I celebrated my monthly average views rising from 100K to 427K in just over a month.  This got me thinking.  What have I been doing differently lately on Pinterest?

Slight disclaimer.  I am by no means saying that Pinterest monthly views are the MOST important thing when checking your analytics.  It’s your monthly engaged stats that really count.  The views are mostly for vanity’s sake, but I have noticed a significant boost in my blog views as my Pinterest views have risen.

Anyway, on with the show!

Pinterest and Home Improvement Inspiration

So, what has been my focus?  In the last month, I have focused heavily on re-pinning home interior and home improvement solutions.  This is largely because I’m looking at different ways to create an Artist’s studio.  I’m also totally obsessed with clever storage solutions!  Surely, I can’t be the only storage geek out there?!

Obviously, these pins have represented my dream home improvements.  The actual implementation remains a long way off into the future.  Heck it might never happen.  But it has been so motivating to gather inspiration for future home and interior projects.  Plus, it has had a positive impact on my Pinterest views.  Yay!

My Pipe Dream of an Artist’s Studio

You may or may not know that I am a trained Artist!  Part and parcel of being the kooky artist type is the need for space to work on your creative projects.  I’m talking A LOT of space here.  On top of being an Artist, I’m also extremely averse to clutter.  Hence the strange obsession for storage solutions.

I also have a big thing for both natural light and working outdoors.  I get so inspired when I feel close to nature.  As for the natural light, this means that I can capture better photos of my works in progress and finished canvases.  But I HATE being cold.  Am I asking for too much here?  My bank balance and subsequently my boyfriend, are both quite relieved that I’m writing about my pipe dream in this post.

My Ideal Artists Space Would be Made of Glass

It would be amazing to one day have a conservatory come extension added to the house, complete with double glazed windows* of course.  I need to keep that precious heat in after all!  This would be the ultimate solution.  Combining awesome natural light, being in the great outdoors (kind of) BUT staying toasty warm.

I can dream 😊

Your dream studio sounds wonderful! I can relate – I often dream of an office with big windows and lots of natural light, rather than a corner in my living room. But I’m making it work for now 😉 As for storage, I am 100% with you on that one!!
