Pinterest Community Update: Boost your Blog & Online Biz
If you follow my content regularly, you will know that I recently created a Pinterest Community. To be completely honest with you, I originally created ‘Boost your Blog and Online Biz’ purely to share this new Pinterest feature with you all.
As I stated in my previous post; the Pinterest community feature can only be accessed by way of invite! So, I extended a hearty invite to you all. Once you are in your first community, you can search for more, as the feature then becomes a part of your profile. Woo!
For those of you that don’t know, you can access my Pinterest Community ‘Boost your Blog and Online Biz’ here. I also have yer typical Pinterest Group Board of the same name. Which you can access here.
So, what’s the dealio then folks?
Pinterest Community Update
Not being one to shy away from engaging in a community effort. I have spent the last two weeks thinking of ways that we can all use this Pinterest community to help each other. I have been thinking of activities – some more out of the box than others, cuz I am, and always will be one of those kooky ‘artist types’ at heart.
I think it would be a good idea for us to start with bi-weekly threads. I am extremely conscious of everybody’s time. Prioritizing blog/biz activities is hard enough with everything available to us on social media!
With this in mind, one idea is a little more intensive, while the other is just yer standard, easy going and obligation free promo thread.
*New members are invited to introduce themselves to the community. When you first join please share a link to your blog or website with a bit of description.*
As of Thursday the 11th of October, the group schedule for ‘Boost your Blog and Online Biz‘ will be as follows:
THURSDAY THINK TANK
This thread will start afresh every Thursday. I am keeping the thread open until the following weekly instalment. It doesn’t happen at a specific time or close after 24 hours. I am hoping this will be easier for everyone to jump in through out the duration rather than being locked down to a specific hour.
How does Thursday Think Tank work?
This will be a chance for a good old-fashioned brain storm! You can pitch ideas and seek feedback from other group members. Ideas are funny little things, they can be sparked by something small. Let’s spark them together!
If someone is seeking input from the group, please honour and respect creative boundaries. If you would like to collaborate or continue with the idea, ask the relevant member. Please respect each other’s intellectual property.
If you have a technical problem related to your blog or online biz, maybe one of the ‘blog biz brain squad’ can help you! We are all now the ‘blog biz brain squad’ just so you know 😉 Just pitch the question in the Thursday Think Tank thread. I will personally do my best to help where I can. *Pinkie promise*
Basically, the idea is to bounce off one another. Our blog and biz gigs can be extremely isolating at times. So, let’s stay sane at Thursday Think Tank!
SATURDAY SHARE
This thread will start afresh every Saturday. I am keeping the thread open until the following weekly instalment. So, just drop by whenever you can.
How does Saturday Share work?
Sharing is caring! Stop by and drop one link to something you would like to promote. This could be your latest blog post, product or something you would love to re pinned.
It would be great (IF you have the time) to invite a new member to the community when you share a promo link. This way we can keep the community growing with QUALITY blogging friends. I totally trust every single one of you to invite great folks to the partay!
Conclusion: Let’s DO this
I’m going to do my best to not only start these threads weekly, but dive into them as deeply as possible. I will be repining your content, helping with idea generation and assisting with technical issues where I can.
I will be working hard to promote both the group board and community ‘Boost your Blog and Online Biz.’ Please do get involved. Help others within the threads. You are now part of the ‘blog biz brain squad.’ With great power comes great responsibility.
Let me know what you think in the comments below!
Blog Biz Brain Squad UNITE
I will end with a quote that I dearly hope will encapsulate the spirit and intention of ‘Boost your Blog and Online Biz’ and the ‘blog biz brain squad.’
If you found this content helpful, or you think I missed something important, please comment below 🙂 I’d love to hear from you.

October 18, 2018 at 9:56 pmI’m so excited for this! Before I started to take blogging serious, I only used Pinterest for other things that I loved. But, now that I’m starting to see results from pinning and repinning to different boards and geoups, I see a difference in my traffic. I’m looking forward to this. 😊

October 19, 2018 at 3:00 amI believe right now, Pinterest has a limit of up to 4 communities. We will be hearing more about Pinterest Communities as it rol it rolls out. Pinterest is making a lot of changes. We might even see group boards disappearing.
