5 Reasons your Business Should Hire Bloggers for Content Marketing

In the digital era, hiring a blogger to promote your company, products and or services has become a popular marketing strategy.  This process is often referred to as *Blogger outreach, Blogger relations or Influencer marketing.  By collaborating with a Blogger, you can work together to create genuine, authentic content to promote a product, brand or service.  In the age of the mighty inter-webs, there ain’t nothing more powerful than authenticity.  Trust me, it’s what us savvy consumers are crying out for.

*Full Disclosure – this post contains affiliate links.  I would never promote anything I hadn’t tried, tested and LOVED.  The opinions expressed below are my own, I have not been compromised by the sway of the mighty dollar!  Check out my full policy here

There are many reasons why businesses should include the blogging community in their content marketing strategies.  Here are my top five.

By collaborating with a Blogger, you can work together to create genuine, authentic content to promote a product, brand or service.

Bloggers can Help your Website Rankings

Have you ever heard of SEO?  What about link building?  Nope?  Well, today is your lucky day.

In order for your website to rank highly in the search engine results pages, you need what we in the biz call backlinks.  By we in the biz I mean anyone with a website, I just wanted to sound fancy.  The more external websites that link back to your website, the more trusted your site is deemed to be by the search engines.

This trust gradually moves you higher up the results pages.  When this happens, your online consumers won’t have to scroll to page thirty to find your website in the search results.  Just a little FYI, most people don’t even make it past the second page of the search engine result pages.

Woah now, before you think you have it all sussed out … There is more skill involved in this endeavour than it might appear.  You don’t want any old links back to your site.  Instead search for other relevant, trusted and authentic websites.

Let’s add some context.  If you sell cruelty free make up, be on the look out for a well respected and cruelty free Beauty Blogger to represent your brand.  If you sell craft materials look for an Arts and Crafts Blogger.

In order to get the best results from this marketing exercise you will need to provide your awesome Blogger with a piece of anchor text such as ‘cruelty free lip balm‘ the corresponding link that will be hyperlinked into the text and a brief concept.  Leave the rest up to your Blogger!

If you would like to know more about SEO and link building, I have a three part blog series about SEO and link building that I strongly recommend that you read.  Obviously I’m kinda biased, but i’ve had some great feedback from both SEO noobs and more advanced practitioners.

Using Link Building for Search Engine Optimization

How to Build Links & Boost SERP Rankings

Links to your website are one of THE MOST important factors for high search engine rankings. You will never achieve high rankings on Google, Bing/Yahoo or other major search engines without having good links. Furthermore, Google will ONLY list your website in their search results if they find at least one other website that links to your site. Scary stuff! Let’s do a quick rundown of how backlinks work to influence your search engine success!

Bloggers Boost your Brand Reach

Word of Mouth Marketing is the digital eras version of good OLE word of mouth referrals.  Have you read the Neilsen Report?  It found that ninety two percent of consumers around the world say they trust earned media.  This means recommendations from friends and family, above all other forms of advertising.  A further seventy percent of people trust consumer opinions posted online

Year upon year, these kind of reports are highlighting that ads placed within old media sources, such as television, radio and newspapers, don’t bring the same results they once did.  New media is undoubtedly the way forwards.  The most desired consumer and content creator trust exists between Bloggers and their audiences.

If you run a blog, then building up a social media presence is at the forefront of your mission.  For businesses, this means that on top of an engaged readership, your Blogger will have an active social media following full of potential new customers.  This is amazing for brand awareness!  When content mentioning your business is shared on social media it increases your over all brand reach.

Nothing looks better on the socials, than a mention of your brand from another user with some good social stats behind them!

Bloggers are an Engaged Workforce

We LOVE what we do, and you can be damn sure that we will pour our hearts and souls into the content we create for you and your brand!  In fact, I’m willing to bet money on it.  You won’t find another person in this world that will care about your brand as much as you do.  Want to know why?

Think of it this way, if a blogger chooses to work with your business, they are putting their own reputation on the line.  If they choose to work with you, it’s because they believe in your business.  No one can promote a brand better than a blogger who believes in it strongly!

Plus, we have built our own personal brands from scratch and instinctively know what works and what doesn’t.  A good Blogger will protect your brand like it’s their own.

Bloggers Produce High Quality Content Fast

Bloggers are adept at balancing multiple projects at once.  Heck I balance a job, multiple side gigs and my blog baby simultaneously.  You simply won’t find a Blogger that freaks out over tight deadlines, and we certainly don’t let time constraints impact our quality levels.

So you needed some high quality content like yesterday but only realised you needed it today?  Don’t sweat it, hire a Blogger and we will help you move mountains to grow your business.  Just give us a basic concept and we’ll run with it and then some.  We will even leave you time to provide us feedback so that we can make any amendments if needed.

We’ll even leave you time for a brew!

Bloggers are AWESOME Colleagues

Reliable, flexible and creative are the three words that spring to mind when somebody says ‘Blogger.‘   Bloggers will see your business from a fresh angle, and come up with insightful and innovative content to reflect this.  Why am I so confident about?  I spend a lot of time reading, supporting and commenting on the content produced by this community, and the fantastic quality consistently impresses me.

How Can I Hire a Blogger?

To hire a Blogger to create content, you can:

  • Consider contacting them directly
  • Use a Blogger Outreach service

I would personally recommend using *Get Blogged for their reasonable rates, quick turn around and excellent pool of Bloggers that cover ALL niches.

Has your business ever considered hiring a member of the blogging community for content marketing purposes?
